We’re seeking a Junior Sales Development Representative (SDR), preferably with a technical background in engineering, physics, IT, or geospatial sciences. You’ll play a key role in identifying and engaging potential clients in the electricity and infrastructure sectors, helping them discover how our technology can accelerate their transition to a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and research potential clients in the energy, telecom, and transportation sectors.
- Initiate outbound outreach via email, phone, and social media to generate interest.
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule discovery calls for Account Executives..
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute outreach strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system
- Assist in preparing sales materials, presentations, and product demos..
- Understand our customers.
- Learn and articulate the value of Gilytics’ SaaS solutions.
- Understand customer pain points, processes, and how our technology addresses them.
- Clearly articulate the strength and value of Gilytics technology.
- Stay informed on industry trends, GIS applications, and infrastructure planning challenges
- Collaboration & Events:
- Work with marketing to support campaigns and events.
- Represent Gilytics at trade shows, webinars, and industry events (as needed).
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in tech or engineering oriented SaaS, geospatial technology or tech.
- Degree in engineering, physics, geoinformatics, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English. German (C2 level) and additional languages are a plus.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Passion for the energy transition and digital transformation of the electricity industry.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn about technical solutions.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot) is a plus
- Experience and knowledge of electricity/power market (grid operators, utilities), renewables, EPCs and GIS technology is an advantage.
- A previous startup experience is a plus (seed round or Series A at least)

Qualifications
Education & Technical Background
- Master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Environmental/Civil or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Alternatively, a business degree combined with strong technical acumen and understanding of spatial or energy systems.
- Solid understanding of energy network planning, spatial and environmental assessment, and GIS-based modelling for infrastructure design.
Professional Experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in B2B customer relationship management, customer success, or product management, ideally within SaaS, GIS, utilities, or energy sectors.
- Proven ability to manage international enterprise clients, ensuring high satisfaction, adoption, and retention.
- Experience in project management, requirements analysis, and conceptual system design, translating complex technical needs into actionable solutions.
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting, generating insights from customer usage and performance metrics.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
